An individual who lived in Israel, and is required by a foreign authority (or any other official authority) to provide proof of a non-criminal record for the duration of their stay in Israel, may request this record from the Israeli police authority. This record confirms the existence or non-existence of an individual's criminal record in Israel.

The request is sent through the Consulate to the Israeli police authority in Israel, therefore the request may take up to 6 weeks to process.

NOTICE: The individual requesting the non-criminal record must come to the Consulate in person, meaning this service cannot be provided via mail.

The non-criminal record will not be mailed back to the requesting individual, it will only be sent to the requesting authority. Therefore, you must provide the full address of the Authority which is requesting your non-criminal record.

Requesting the non-criminal record at the consulate

The individual must present themselves at the consulate with the following:

  • Valid photo ID (a passport or Israeli ID card).  If you are not an Israeli citizen you must also bring a copy of the passport you used while you lived in Israel.
  • You must fill out a request for icon Non Criminal Record Form (53.19 kB)
  • The cost for this service is $12 payable by cash, credit card or money order made payable to "The Consulate General of Israel in New York."  The Consulate does not accept personal checks.
  • As mentioned above, you must provide the exact address of the authority requesting your non-criminal record.
