Play Description - An Israeli-Palestinian-Actor-Playwright leaves his beloved Paris to accept a role at the National Theatre in Tel Aviv--but it's September 10, 2002, and his dual nationality raises questions at Roissy-Charles DeGaulle Airport...a very personal story in a very political moment.
Program Description - The upcoming hotINK festival will present work by 10 playwrights from outside the United States in readings at the Lark, March 22-26, 2012. Featured plays are presented once, following approximately six to eight hours of rehearsal with outstanding New York directors and actors. In addition, special events are planned for visiting playwrights, including panels and public conversations, moderated by NY-based artists and cultural representatives.  Readings are attended by fellow writers from U.S. and abroad, literary managers, producers, artistic directors, translators, dramaturgs, scholars, journalists, educators, students and New York theatre audiences.
