About the Consulate
The Consulate General of Israel in New York represents the State of Israel in New York, Connecticut, and Northern New Jersey.
Naama Shefi is Dir. of Public Programs & Events at the Consulate General of Israel in New York.
Ms. Shefi is responsible for initiating and managing different projects - mostly related to culture and life style. In addition, she organizes and produces events, reaching out to different communities and keeping in touch with the young-adults scenes.
As a member of the department of Media and Public Affairs, she serves as a conduit between the State of Israel and the American public in the tri-state area.
In addition to producing culinary events for press and the general public, she also writes a weekly food column in Isrealli.org, the official blog of the State of Israel.
A native Israeli who was born in a Kibbutz, Ms. Shefi holds a BA in Comparative Literature from Tel Aviv University and MFA in Film and Media from The New School University.
