About the Consulate
The Consulate General of Israel in New York represents the State of Israel in New York, Connecticut, and Northern New Jersey.
Jason Turetsky is the Political Advisor to the Deputy Consul General at the Consulate General of Israel in New York.
As such, he prepares briefings for the Consul General's Office on American Politics, the Jewish community, the Hispanic community, the Christian world, and other areas of interest.
He works with the Deputy Consul General to maintain and strengthen relationships with national, state, and local political officials as well as leadership of the Jewish community and other communities in the tri-state area.
Jason graduated from Princeton University in 2007 with a B.A. from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, where he wrote his thesis on the Arab minority in Israel. In 2008, he received his Master's Degree in Middle Eastern Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London where he wrote his thesis on the beginnings of the Israeli settler movement. Upon returning to the U.S., Jason began his current position at the Israeli Consulate in New York in 2009. Despite currently living in New York City and working for the State of Israel, Jason is originally from Medford, NJ and is still a Jersey boy at heart.
