About the Consulate
The Consulate General of Israel in New York represents the State of Israel in New York, Connecticut, and Northern New Jersey.
Daniel Greenberg was the Deputy Director for Academic Affairs at the Consulate General of Israel in New York. As such, he maintained relationships with faculty and students at institutions of higher education throughout the tri-state area and worked to foster academic ties between them and their Israeli peers. He also oversees the coordination of visits by Israeli scholars, artists and other notables to area campuses.
In addition to his Academic Affairs portfolio, Mr. Greenberg was a member of the Consulate’s social media team as manager and primary “tweeter” of the Consulate’s Twitter account: @IsraelConsulate.
Mr. Greenberg served in the Israeli military’s Spokesperson’s Unit as a translator and analyst for the period encompassing the 2006 Lebanon War. He is a graduate of Queens College of the City University of New York.
