About the Consulate
The Consulate General of Israel in New York represents the State of Israel in New York, Connecticut, and Northern New Jersey.
Lukas Brenowitz is the former National Director of Radio at the Consulate General of Israel in New York. He completed his master’s degree at the department of Middle Eastern and African History at Tel Aviv University, where he focused on Syrian-Iranian ties and the perpetual Middle Eastern conflict. He has worked for the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) in Tel Aviv focusing on al-Qaeda’s guiding principles in ideological warfare and has given many talks over the past ten years on Middle Eastern politics, culture and history.
Mr. Brenowitz studied literary (fusha) Arabic in Cairo and currently focuses on understanding the geo-political situation in the varying regions and sub-regions in the Middle East. He has recently returned to the U.S. after spending five years in Israel and now works as a search engine optimization (SEO) specialist and on-line marketing consultant for numerous businesses in Israel and the U.S.
